If your child has anxiety or special needs, we can provide mild sedation to calm their nerves and help them experience a successful, peaceful dental visit. This type of sedation is not meant to put your child to sleep or eliminate pain but does provide a calming effect.
In other cases, if your child will be having several procedures done during one visit, sedation dentistry may also be used.
After the sedation takes effect, your child’s dentist will inject a local anesthetic that numbs the area of treatment for a more comfortable, pain-free experience.
